EVLA Habitat for Humanity
The Need for Affordable Housing  Espaņola Valley & Los Alamos

HfH-EVLA is a locally run affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, a nonprofit, ecumenical housing organization. Habitat for Humanity works in partnership with people in need to build and renovate decent, affordable housing. Founded in 1994 and serving the Espaņola Valley and Los Alamos county.

Volunteers provide most of the labor, and individual and corporate donors provide money and materials to renovate and build Habitat houses. Partner families invest approximately five hundred hours of labor - "sweat equity" - into building and renovating their homes and the homes of others.
