Stocks and Bond Gifts |
|
|
|
A charitable gift of stocks or bonds provides
an opportunity for tax savings while generously sharing with others.
A gift of stock owned for more than one year entitles you to a
charitable deduction for the full market value at the time the gift
is made. If the stock has appreciated, you also avoid a capital
gains tax on the appreciation. In addition to helping HFH -EVLA, you
may diversify away from low-basis, long-term holdings into other
assets that will better suit your current needs. If you would like

Call Habitat. We often buy property that for-profit builders
can't use. Partner with Habitat on a "mixed income"
development, which blends market-rate and Habitat homes. Spread the
word. Tell friends and associates that Habitat acquires vacant

ReSTORE Wish List: Help Our Wishes Come True! Financial
contributions are always welcome, but sometimes it's easier to give
equipment and material. Here are some current needs...
Lumber
• Plywood • Sheetrock • Trim
We accept full and1/2
sheets of plywood. We accept full lengths of lumber. We will accept trim
in smaller pieces, but not less than 4 feet long. Please, no rot or nails.
Furniture All furniture must be in good condition, no rips,
tears or stains. We accept mattresses with no strains or odors.
Kitchen Cabinets & Vanities
- Up to date and not damaged. They must be complete ex: doors, shelving,
display racks, etc.
Doors
We accept doors in GOOD condition. They must not have holes, cracks, rot,
etc.
Electrical We accept most electrical parts, wires, plugs, plates
and the hardware associated with electrical wiring.
Flooring material
We accept tile, hardwood, and vinyl. We will accept carpet if it has no
stains, worn areas or odor.
Office
Furniture
We take desks, credenzas, file cabinets and chairs. No partitions,
cubicles, or office equipment made with particle board. We
do not accept oversized metal desks.
Hardware
We accept all hardware
especially for doors, cabinets, gates, etc.
Lighting
We accept most light fixtures in working order.
Paint
All good paint with
labels (can be partial). Please
check your paint for leaking and dryness.
Plumbing • Tubs • Sinks• Showers •
Commodes We
accept tubs, sinks and vanities if they are in good condition and clean.
We accept commodes. They must be very clean!! IF
cast iron we are unable to help with unloading.
Roofing
Material We
accept all types of roofing material such as rolled roofing material,
metal roofing, and bundles of new shingles. (need not be a whole bundle)
Tools
We accept all hand and
power tools in working condition.
Windows
We accept all
windows, wood blinds, vinyl or aluminum except vintage metal crank
windows.
Fencing
materials
including gates, wiring etc.
Misc
needs:
Sheet metal, heating duct work, rain gutters, pvc piping,
microwaves, T.V. (no consoles please)
Only
new or scratch and dent appliances at this time!
Each gift you
make helps a family in need of decent shelter. All Habitat for
We raise all our
funds locally and receive no funding from Habitat for Humanity
International. We support the
efforts of Habitat for Humanity International by tithing 10% of all
donations, unless the donation is restricted to be used only in
