Announces 10th Anniversary of ReSTORE

Española, NM July 1, 2008 - Habitat for Humanity, Española Valley & Los Alamos , Inc is thrilled to be planning its 10^th anniversary for the ReSTORE at 1:00-3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 2.  We are having a food tent, selling t-shirts and key chains, and an auction at 2:30 p.m. all proceeds going towards the next house to be built.  James Espinoza, the President of the Board is happy to recognize our volunteers at 2 p.m.   The Española Los Alamos Habitat Affiliate was the first Habitat Affiliate in New Mexico to open a ReSTORE.  Plan on celebrating with us as we thank the community, volunteers and donors who have helped make our ReSTORE successful!  We are thankful to all our commercial supporters especially our largest: Lowes and Metzgers Home Improvement. 

ReSTORE is a retail outlet where quality used and surplus building materials as well as furniture are sold at a fraction of normal prices.  The ReSTORE is located on the corner of Highway 285 and Camino Arroyo Seco in Arroyo Seco.  It's about 1.5 miles south of Española, on the west side of Hwy. 285, just south of the Jehovah Witness building.

Proceeds from our ReSTORE help fund the construction of Habitat houses within our community. Materials sold by Habitat ReSTORE are usually donated from building supply stores, contractors and individuals who wish to show their support for Habitat. In addition to raising funds, ReSTORE helps the environment by rechanneling good, usable materials into use.
