Our History

Habitat for Humanity EVLA has a 15-member board of directors that coordinates the committees and task groups that identify housing needs; qualify families who need housing; solicit tax-deductible donations of cash, supplies, and services; organize the building and rehabilitation of homes; and educate community members about the need for decent, affordable housing in the local area.

In just over six years, since organization in January of 1994, Habitat for Humanity EVLA has established an impressive track record.

Completed 16 renovations
Completed our first new home (1998)
Raised funds to support building projects
Opened a business office
Opened and operating our Re-Store

Affiliated with Habitat for Humanity International in September 1994
